Ctra. Pinar de los Franceses
We enter the Bay of Cadiz Natural Park along a path through the Pinar de los Franceses, which runs along its edge, along the border of pine forests and marshes.
This is an environment rooted in the production of salt and fish from the marshland that provides beautiful images of this privileged corner of the Bay of Cadiz, refuge to a multitude of birds.
By the way, the name Pinar de los Franceses is due to the fact that the French set up a military defence post here, back in 1811, during the War of Independence.
